The Leap To The Unknown

After reading a lot of blogs about how people life their life, I suddenly realize that I'm not doing much in my life! I had the feeling that I'm starting to waste so much time not doing things that are meaningful for me. Then I stumble to this blog where the writer, Nicole Balch, had a 30 Before 30 List. This is a list of things she wanted to do before she turns 30. It was so interesting! I also watched Julie & Julia, and the girl had a one year project of making the whole Julia Child's recipes before she became 30! I kinda thought that 30 is the number where people really become an adult. 20's is the transition time. It really strucks me to make my own 30 Before 30 List. I'm gonna be 28 tomorrow and that's when I will start my 30 Before 30 List. It's gonna be a two years project.

Making my 30 Before 30 List it's not easy. I really thought of things that mattered to me, from the big things to those simple things. This is the mix of things I have long wanting to do/make and new things I thought would be meaningful to me. I started to make the list about a month ago. Then, I had a sweet escape, two days ago, to go out my daily routines so I can take a good look at my list and finalized it.

In this sweet escape, I went to an island called Tidung Island in West Java, Indonesia. I went there with my friend, a fellow blogger. In that island, there's this bridge called the Love Bridge. Some people come there to jump off the bridge. That idea kind felt scary for me. First, because I can't swim and second because the height. I didn't think that I would come and jump off the bridge, I was just there because I wanted to do some thinking in the beautiful island. But something inside me tells me that I SHOULD take that jump. For me, it's The Leap To The Unknown because I never done something crazy like that before, I don't know what it feels like, I can't even swim, and I didn't even planned it before (I'm a plan freak)! It's just so beyond me, but those are the things that I wanted to do to find meaningful things in life. I have to face the UNKNOWN! So this jump is the first step to discover the meaning of my life.

This is how it goes:

Sweet Escape

I really need a break from all of life's exhausting endless routines! And I finally got one in the busiest time of all! Hahaha... How ironic. My choice is to take it and let everything else fall apart or leave it and go back to those endless routines. Interesting choices? But it's so obvious for me to follow my heart and take this "sweet escape" with all of it's consequences. I don't want to be eaten by those mean endless routines.

Lunar Eclipse

I've watched the lunar eclipse this night! So lucky :)
I feel such a small being on planet earth!
I watched it on my own, and not waiting for Cullen! LOL!
It was beautiful... So bad I didn't have any good camera to record it.
It's now 2.33 AM, June 16th 2011. I live GMT +7 hours.
The moon become red and slowly fade away.
I read in some articles that this is the longest lunar eclipse, 100 minutes!
The red moon looked like this (but smaller because I didn't use any equipment to watch it).

I just hoped that I don't wake up late tomorrow! Fingers cross... hahaha...

We Love Teddy

I got this awesome t-shirt for the love of Teddy Bears! YAY!

I think that every child in the world should have a Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear is a great friend to have adventures with when you're growing up. He will love to play with you in happy days and comfort you in sadder days. And the truth is, you don't have to be a child to find a friend in a Teddy Bear.

Here's a lovely song, well it's about Pooh, but he's a Teddy Bear too... I love this song because it gives me comfort, specially on very bad days. It reminded me of those happy childhood memories.

The Notebook

A notebook can be somebody's life. Like Hemingway, he wrote his stories on a pocket notebook, and look where his writings end up! Don't you know that writing in a notebook is an art of life? It can give you directions on life, documenting every emotional feelings, and it's like a silent friend that will always be glad to hear from you.

We I was little, my teacher always thought me to write a journal. Of course as a child I draw more than I write, but I always love it! I'm so crazy with pocket notebooks. I always have a new one every year. I'm not that discipline, but I never give up! I always have this spirit of starting a new one. Sometimes I can finished the whole year with lots of stories, sometimes it was just a bad year that I didn't write much.

This is my journal at school back when I was in second grade. See the date was 15th February 1991! HAHAHA... I didn't end-up being an architect, but I did become a bank officer! It's so bizarre! When I started to work at the bank, I remembered about this journal.

I've tried various of digital notebooks, but it's not as satisfying as the old fashioned one. The notebook! This year, I got a nice purple notebook that really helped me start this blog. I don't always have the chance to sit with my Macbook and write what I feel, but I can always write it down! It's so handy if you have an idea in the middle of the night. I want to write what I feel when I still can feel it. I don't want to wait because the feeling can disappeared.

See this lovely notebook art from Moleskine. Moleskine is the brand for notebooks that even Hemingway, Vincent van Gogh, and Pablo Picasso had used. This will certainly be on my wish list!

Quote of the month

This month is all about Explore Dream Discover! I'm going on a trip! I didn't even plan for it before. I'm being more spontaneous and it's far beyond me!
I'm a person who always think a lot and a lot and a lot before doing things and after doing things. That's bad isn't it? I think way too much! I can't help myself for over thinking things. I need to stop.
Let's be more spontaneous and enjoy life!

Dog Party

Did you know that dogs can have as much fun as human? I've been lucky to joined this Dog Party last weekend. Every type of dog was welcomed to come. I don't have a dog, but I had so much fun!

I was greeted by this cool-looking rapper dog.

Watched some attraction perfomed by Mr.Pitbull.

This guy had the best jump!

Don't forget to meet Pretty Little Miss Sunshine.

It's a party! There's always those good looking guys catching your attention!

It ain't a party without some juicy gossips...

This Little Pink Princess had a lot of fun with her owner. Dance 'till drop!

Every party will always have it's weird-looking guy.

And the ones that just can't get enough of the drinks!

But don't worry, the party was totally in control because a goody goody good looking sheriff was around! With his "gun".

And in the end, some lucky guys did find LOVE...

Well, that's all from the Dog Party.
See you at the next one!
WARF! WARF!
