Sunset of 29 June 2012

It was a pretty lovely day today, and before the day ends, I did captured my favorite thing in the world: SUNSET! More special for me, because this is the sunset of 29 June. Like something I've read before, age 29 means I've been making 29 laps around the sun =) and like Paulo says, I can't go backwards, so it's best to make the best of going forward =)

Here comes 29 at 29!

My last year as a twenty something girl! So... HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me!! Well, it's not that I'm celebrating something... Actually, right now, I'm sitting alone at my rent room and almost doing nothing. This time, I just want to share my lovely moment, last June 22nd when it was Jason Mraz's early birthday (should be June 23rd) at his concert. I got this from Youtube (thanks for the guy who shared this!).  He told us that he wrote this song on his birthday and it was a very lovely song called "Mr. Curiosity" from his album Mr. A-Z. I wondered in what state he was when he wrote this song...

I'm looking for love this time
Sounding hopeful but it's making me cry
This love is a mystery
Mr. Curious...
And yes, I'm almost 30 but I'm still learning about love. And I think I'll never stop learning. And it's brilliant of Jason to addressed his feelings to Mr. Curious, because I think that mystery is just a part of one's life and sometimes we just have to let it to be like that...
Mr. Curious well I need some inspiration,
It's my birthday and I cannot find no cause for celebration
The scenario is grave but I'll be braver when you save me
From this situation laden with hearsay
That verse is true, I don't have cause for celebration this year, and yes I need lots more of inspiration. But being only one year to 30 (which I think I will be more 'adult' by then), I will take more risks in life to do what I've dreamt for. One year to go being someone in her twenties, I'm gonna make it the best that I could to live in the moment, and maybe my days will seem brighter =)

Jason Mraz spreading the L.O.V.E

If there is no limited of time, money, nor space, and you ask me which musician I would love to see live, I would not think twice to answered: JASON MRAZ! I love his works, I love his sound, and I desperately want to see him live in concert. So went my friend called me up to see his concert on June 22nd, I definitely said YES.

Maybe my limited English cannot describe the wonderful moment I had there, but what I can tell you that it was so amazing, the melody, the words, the atmosphere of the night, the companion, and everything else was just so beautiful! I enjoyed every second of it and hoped it last longer.

is a four letter word

There was so much favorite songs and I loved loved loved the live version. Much more better than the recording version, the live version gives me shivers and it's incredibly beautiful. The show was the night before Jason's 35th birthday, so we got to sing him "Happy birthday" -Hey, his Cancerian like I am! =) Mr. Toca didn't come, so he is replaced by this talented violin named Mirrett Lear. I really love how they can communicate through music. It's like the violin and guitars are the unspoken words but I was a whole conversation. Too bad I cannot play any instrument, but I surely want to have that kinda connection. My favorite of the night was "Mr. Curiosity", a song Jason made on his birthday. Not only I love the meaning and background of the song, but I love the way he sang the high notes! It was so magical! The whole night was =)

Here, I liked to share some not-so-bad photos from the other bad photos (we couldn't bring DSLR camera). I don't really mind because I saw the real live thing! =)

My place was far away from the stage

Jason Mraz singing Mr. Curiosity by playing the piano alone

Trying my best to get (a) picture, but failed

And it was a great night mostly because I had my dearest friend by my side =)

Sorry Note

This is a sorry note to myself.
I did committed to myself that I would always make at least one post every week, but last week I failed! After more than a year =( I have no excuses because it was merely my lack of discipline.
It's not that I'm hard with myself, but I just want to improve =)

One thing I should always remember...

Movie: The Art Of Getting By

This was a 2011 movie which was piled up in my big file of un-seen-yet-movies. I first thought it was just another teenage movie, but soon realized it was more than that. I kinda felt in love with the character of George. He was a weird introvert arty smart kinda guy. He tends to think too much! Makes me think about someone like that :P It's George's way of seeing life that makes the movie interesting for me. When he was little, he read a quote "you are born alone, die alone, and everything else is an illusion". It really changed his way in looking on life. I found it very interesting because in some way, the quote was true. And by thinking that all of this is just an illusion, I think there is nothing to be afraid of. It made sense for me! It really gives us only two choices: to do something or not to do anything at all. Well, while George took the second choice, things changes and made him re-think about the life he choose.

The movie maybe is about choices as a teenage, but I think it was deeper than that. Because right now, at the end of my 20's I kinda started to re-think more about how I've lived my life. If it's just by doing what people expected me to do? Is it worth it? Can I changed it? But, will I? Deep down in my heart I know all of the answers to my question, I just need courage to do so. What about you?

Here's another movie poster with a different title. The movie was premiered under the title "Homework" at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. Bonus for girls, George was played by Freddie Highmore, the one who played Peter Pan in Finding Neverland - I've watched that movie about ten times and never get bored.

This is my page so far:

I've been a daily player and still loving it! How many of you are instagram-ers? See you around =)

Cleaning up some mess

It's mid 2012 already! ARRRRGH... I felt like I've been eaten by a monster called "routine" that sucked up most of my 2012 =( I didn't have the time to write properly in my blog lately, and I felt so bad about it. That's not what I intended to do. Well, after a crazy May, things started to slow down again and I can breath (and write blog) again! YAY!

I think it's time to clean up some mess I've made...

So I first started with cleaning up my space (a.k.a. my room): clean room makes our brain works faster!
Second, I cleaned my work space: it's nice to work when I can get everything I need in just seconds!
Third, cleaning up my disc space >> not completed yet... too much file is slowing down my computer and cellphone, but I think I need a few days to organize and clean everything!

So here we go again! =)

Quote of the month

"There is a work of art each of us was destined to create. That is the central point of our life, and -no matter how we try to deceive ourselves -we know how important it is to our happiness. Usually, that work of art is covered by years of fears, guilt and indecision. But, if we decide to remove those things that do not belong, if we have no doubt as to our capability, we are capable of going forward with the mission that is our destiny. That is the only way to live with honor." - Paulo Coelho
